In summer of 2005, the Milford Post had two of its Explorers accepted to the National Leadership Academies in Washington, DC.  One was accepted to the US Marshal's Academy, the other was accepted by the DEA.

 

The focus of the academies is leadership and deals with the dynamics of leadership, motivating others, and effective law enforcement leadership. In addition, some of the highly specialized law enforcement programs offered by various federal law enforcement agencies are made available.
