The Milford Exploring Law Enforcement Post has participated in the Massachusetts Student Trooper Program for the last few years. The Student Trooper Program is open to male and female high school students 15-17 years of age and are in good scholastic standing. Applicants must be of good moral character and present a well-groomed appearance. Students are exposed to rigorous training and physical stress in this quasi-military type academy. The program is conducted at the Massachusetts State Police Academy in New Braintree Massachusetts.

The Student Trooper program is sponsored by the American Legion Department of Massachusetts Inc. and the Massachusetts State Police.
