MILFORD POLICE INVESTIGATION LEADS TO WOONSOCKET MALE HELD ON EXTRADITABLE WARRANT

MILFORD- In January 2025, Milford Police Detectives were alerted to a series of high dollar amount thefts occurring at Lowe’s, located at 40 Fortune Blvd in Milford. Through information provided by Lowe’s Loss Prevention, The Milford Police Detective Bureau was able to identify four larceny events where David Bottoms, 54, of Woonsocket, RI was able to shoplift a total of $2,836 in merchandise.
On January 31st, 2025, Milford Police Detective Elias Giokas sought an extraditable warrant for the arrest of Bottoms for multiple shoplifting and larceny charges.
On February 6th, 2025, Bottoms was arrested by Woonsocket Police Department and is currently awaiting extradition on the following charges.

MILFORD POLICE DETECTIVES SEIZE OVER $200,000 IN COUNTERFEIT MERCHANDISE

MILFORD- On December 16th, 2024, The Milford Police Detective Bureau completed an investigation into the sales of high-end counterfeit goods by seizing over 1200 items for approximate MSRP value of $200,000.
During the course of the investigation, Milford Police Detectives discovered the owner of the Family Sneaker House in Milford was purchasing counterfeit sneakers and clothing items from a Chinese distributor via wire transfer for the purpose of sale to the general public.
Of the incident, Milford Chief of Police Robert Tusino emphasized “While this was not a traditional crime indicative of our community, it’s important to realize these types of operations are not just taking billions away from these big corporations but more importantly, money out of the wallets of hard-working people.”
In a letter addressed to the Milford Police Department on behalf of Nike Inc., Louis Vuitton North America, Gucci America inc., and Adidas International Inc., Andrea Powers, President of Powers & Associates personally praised the efforts of Detective Lieutenant Kevin O’Loughlin, Detective Elias Giokas and Detective Thomas Leung.
If you or anyone you know purchased sneakers from Family Sneakers House located at 161 Main St. in Milford. Please come to our agency with your receipt. The owner of the business continues to work with our agency to supply refunds for anyone that was defrauded.

MILFORD RESIDENT ARRESTED FOR THREATS WITH A FIREARM

MILFORD- On Sunday February 2nd, 2025, the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 call reporting an altercation between two males in which one male brandished a firearm at the other.
At approximately 4:39PM, officers from the Milford Police Department arrived on scene at the Shadowbrook Condominium complex in response to threats made with a firearm. In talking to witnesses, officers were able to identify the parties involved.
At 5:34PM, Robson De Sousa, 19, of Milford, MA was arrested at Milford Police Headquarters and charged with the following.

WINTER PARKING BAN IN EFFECT JANUARY 19TH 2025
The national weather service approximates 3 to 6 inches of plowable snowfall for the Milford Area beginning Sunday afternoon and continuing into early Monday morning commutes.
Beginning Sunday January 19th, 2025, at 10am. The Milford Police Department will be mandating a winter parking ban to assist the Milford Highway Department With their cleanup efforts.
During this time, any on-street parking will be enforced with ticketing and towing.
An end ban announcement will be released at the conclusion of clean up.
If you do not have access to off-street parking, we encourage you to use any of the town’s municipal lots on Jefferson St, Pine St, Fayette St and Pond St across from the sacred heart church

WESTWOOD RESIDENT CHARGED WITH ILLEGAL FIREARM POSSESSION
For Immediate Release January 16, 2025
MILFORD, MA- January 15th, 2025, the Milford Police Department arrested Angelo Pisani, 35 of Westwood, MA for multiple criminal charges including illegal possession of a firearm.
At 7:43PM the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 reporting a Silver BMW X3 driving erratically on Green St. On arrival, officers located a vehicle matching the description given by dispatchers in the parking lot of the Golden Nozzle Carwash located at 39 Green St.
Investigating Officers C. Chapski, P. Motuzas and B. Campbell quickly detected a strong odor of alcohol when approaching the vehicle. An on-scene investigation led to the discovery of a Sig Sauer 9mm handgun placed in the driver side storage pocket of the vehicle.
Angelo Pisani was taken into custody and charged with the following crimes.
