The Milford Police Department is deeply saddened by the tragic line of duty loss that has affected the Uxbridge Police Department. Our thoughts are with the Uxbridge community and the friends and family of the fallen officer. Our entire department is with you during this difficult time.

Officer Laporta began a journey in Law Enforcement as a member of the Milford Police Department’s Explorer program. He later moved on to a career in Public Safety Telecommunications before fulfilling his life long goal of being a full-time Police Officer for the Uxbridge Police Department.

The Milford Police Department extends our deepest condolences to all of Officer Laporta’s loved ones.

PARKING BAN IN EFFECT 9PM JANUARY 6TH

Due to expected freezing rain and icy road conditions, a winter parking ban will take effect Tuesday January 6th at 9PM and will remain in effect until an end announcement is made. All vehicles parked on-street during this time will be subject to ticketing and towing. THREE SUSPECTS CHARGED IN VIOLENT ASSAULT AND ROBBERY

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MONDAY DECEMBER 29th 2025

MILFORD — On Saturday November 29, 2025, at approximately 3:20AM, the Milford Public Safety Communications received an emergency call for a possible fight in progress near East Main Street and Middleton Street. On arrival, officers located a 21-year-old-male with injuries to his face. The victim reported he had been assaulted and robbed by multiple assailants.

As a result of the investigation by the Milford Police Patrol Division and Milford Police Detective Bureau, investigators were able to identify Christian George, 26, of Milford, Mikayla Sousa, 24, of Milford and Jaryn Platt, 36, of Worcester as involved suspects.

At 3:25PM, Mikayla Sousa was interviewed at the Milford Police Department and subsequently arrested.

On Monday December 1, 2025, Jaryn Platt turned himself in to Milford District Court.

On Friday December 26, 2025, at 9:01PM, Christian George was apprehended on warrant charges related to the assault.
