MILFORD POLICE AND MSP CYBER CRIMES UNIT MAKE ARREST IN CHILD PORN CASE
MILFORD – On Tuesday May 5, 2026, at approximately 4:15PM, members of the Milford Police Detective Bureau and Massachusetts State Police Cyber Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Franklin Street as part of an investigation into the possession of child pornography.
As a result of the investigation, Hugo Ventura, 38, of Milford was arrested for possession of child pornography.
“Crimes against children are among the most heinous in society. Those who engage in such nefarious acts will always be on our radar and our pursuit of them will be relentless.” Said Milford Chief of Police Robert Tusino
Ventura was released on $1,000 bail while awaiting arraignment.

MULTI-AGENCY INVESTIGATION LEADS TO ARREST FOR FIREARMS TRAFFICKING

MILFORD – On Friday May 1, 2026, at 6:01AM, Members of the Milford Police Department, ATF, Massachusetts State Police, Marlborough Police Department and Hudson Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence on Congress Street in Milford related to the trafficking of firearms.
The operation brought a conclusion to long-term investigation into the buying and selling of illegal firearms. As a result, Caua Dasilva, 21, of Milford, was arrested and charged with a series of federal firearms charges.
“I’d like to thank all the local, state and federal law enforcement agencies involved in removing illegal firearms and the people that provide them to others in our community, to commit crime.” Said Milford Chief of Police Robert Tusino. Following his arrest, Dasilva was transported to Worcester Federal Court.

MAN ARRAIGNED IN CONNECTION WITH ASSAULT IN MILFORD

MILFORD – A 60-year-old man was arraigned in Milford District Court today on charges related to the assault of 54-year-old Michael Albro, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr.
John J. Bonnell, of Milford, was charged with assault and battery causing serious bodily injury and assault with intent to murder. He was held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on May 11.
On Friday, May 1, Milford Police Department responded to a call requesting emergency services at the local housing authority, following an earlier altercation between Bonnell and Albro. Albro sustained serious injuries, was transported to UMass Memorial Hospital, and later died.
The incident remains under investigation by the Milford Police Department and Mass. State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.
RECKLESS BICYCLE OPERATION LEADS TO COLLISON
MILFORD – On Wednesday April 29, 2026, at 6:29PM, the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a bicyclist struck by a motor vehicle on East Main Street near Hayward Street.
On arrival officers located a juvenile bike rider sitting on the side of the road reporting pain in his hand following the collision.
“We’re fortunate that no one was seriously injured.” Said Chief of Police Robert Tusino
“The reality is this is another example of the riders in our community ignoring safe bike riding principles leading to another near tragedy. The bicyclist and his companion on the e-bike were seen riding recklessly on the sidewalk and veering in and out of traffic with no concern for oncoming vehicles.”
The bicyclist was transported to Milford regional hospital with minor injuries. “It’s critical that our bicyclists and e-bike riders start practicing safe riding before a tragic event.”

MILFORD – On May 1, 2026, the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 emergency call reporting a past assault at Birmingham Court in Milford. As a result, one male has been taken into custody, while another has been transported to UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
The Milford Police Department in conjunction with the Massachusetts State Police are actively investigating the incident. We are asking all non-residents to avoid the Birmingham Court area while the investigation continues.
All parties involved have been accounted for, there is no threat to the public.

MILFORD RESIDENT ARRESTED FOR EXPOSING HIMSELF AND ASSAULT AND BATTERY

MILFORD – On Wednesday April 29, 2026, at approximately 7:47PM, the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 emergency call reporting a male yelling and exposing his genitalia to the occupants of a vehicle at the intersection of Water Street and Oliver Court.
On-scene officers spoke with three victims, who reported they were stopped at Main Street and Oliver Street when the suspect approached their vehicle and began yelling profanities at them before pulling down his pants and exposing his genitalia. When one of the vehicles occupants confronted the male, he charged at the vehicle and attempted to reach in and grab them.
As a result of the investigation Marcus Gomes-Linhares, 42, of Milford, MA was arrested and charged with the following. • Assault and Battery • Disorderly Conduct • Disturbing the Peace Chapter • Open & Gross Lewdness
Gomes-Linhares was held on $2,500.00 bail and transported to Milford District Court for arraignment this morning.
HOLLISTON MAN CHARGED WITH A&B ON A POLICE OFFICER FOLLOWING OUI CRASH
MILFORD – On Monday April 27, 2026, at approximately 9:50PM, the Milford Public safety communications center received a 911 emergency call reporting a hit and run motor vehicle accident at the Nouria gas station, located at 97 Cedar Street in Milford. The caller stated that a silver Audi SUV struck a vehicle in front of Nouria before leaving toward Fortune Boulevard and crashing again.
Arriving on-scene, officers observed a silver Audi SUV backed into a stone wall on Fortune Boulevard, directly across from Nouria. CCTV footage of the incident showed the vehicle in question traveling in reverse into a parked black pick-up truck before continuing in reverse over a nearby grass island, across Fortune Boulevard before ultimately coming to a halt when colliding with a stone wall.
At approximately 10:08PM, Joseph Marsden, 58, of Holliston, MA. was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence. While in custody, Marsden was increasingly assaultive, striking one officer and threatening to sexually assault another.
“I reviewed the video of the incident, and it is a shock that no one was injured.” Said Milford Chief of Police Robert Tusino As a result of the incident, Joseph Marsden was charged with the following:
