FRANKLIN MAN CITED AFTER EARLY MORNING ACCIDENT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MONDAY MARCH 16TH 2026

MILFORD — On Sunday March 15, 2026, at approximately 2:50AM, the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Main Street and South Main Street near the Milford Police Department.

On arrival, officers discovered a heavily damaged grey Nissan Altima and a damaged black Chevrolet pick-up truck with front end damage nearby. As officers approached the Altima they found all air bags deployed and the operator bleeding from their face.

An on-scene investigation determined the operator of the pick-up truck had passed through the intersection on a red light and collided with the Altima.

“The video depicts a scary truth. Traffic accidents account for millions of non-fatal injuries annually. Over 90% of car accidents are caused by human error.” Said Milford Chief of Police Robert Tusino

The driver of the Chevrolet pick-up, Connor Knox, 18, of Franklin, was cited on scene. The operator of the Nissan Altima was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

“As always, we will continue to aggressively enforce traffic laws that effect our community on a daily basis.”

A video of the collision has been posted on all Milford Police Department social media sites.
