MILFORD — On Sunday, May 10, 2026, at approximately 6:29PM, the Milford Police Department patrol division responded to a residence in the Depot Street area of town to preserve peace in a civil dispute.

Due to the volatile nature of the incident, residents of a multi-family dwelling were evacuated while members of the Milford Police Department Special Operations Team, Family Services Unit and CEMLEC Crisis Negotiator Team responded to the scene.

“When dealing with tense situations like this, it’s critical to use every resource at our disposal to preserve the safety of our residents and those involved.” Said Chief Robert Tusino

At 9:06PM, the individual surrendered to law enforcement and was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.
