TRAFFIC SAFETY GRANT RESULTS IN OUI ARREST

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FRIDAY APRIL 10TH 2026

MILFORD — On Wednesday April 8, 2026, at approximately 9:10PM, Officer Brent Dell’Aquila of the Milford Police Department Patrol Division was assigned to the Traffic Safety Grant when he observed a white Chevrolet van operating erratically on North Bow and Central Street.

After observing the vehicle cross marked lanes, Officer Dell’Aquila enacted a motor vehicle stop on Central Street. As a result of the on-scene investigation, Diego Guaman Chimbaina, 22 of Milford, was placed under arrest. A breath test during booking showed Guaman Chimbaina to be approximately twice the legal limit.

“We are fortunate the Commonwealth provides road safety grants, that allows officers to proactively focus on road safety issues such as impaired driving.” Said Milford Chief of Police Robert Tusino.

“As we’ve stated, Milford has traffic safety issues and we will continue to educate and enforce them to make our community a safer place to commute.”
