Anyone located at the Walden Woods Quarry will be charged with trespassing.
The Walden Woods Condominium Association has invested over $100,000 to secure the quarry area with fencing and clearly posted “No Trespassing” signs every three feet – in three languages.
Anyone found on the property will be charged with trespassing. Additional signage is in place along walking paths in Milford and Hopkinton.

MILFORD — On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at approximately 11:04 a.m., the Milford Police Department received an informational bulletin from Medway Police Detectives. The bulletin alerted surrounding agencies of an interaction with Giovanni Cardona, 44, of Woonsocket, RI, who is wanted by the Pima County Sheriff’s Office in Arizona for his involvement in a road rage incident in which he allegedly shot a victim three times before fleeing the scene.
Medway Detectives reported that Cardona was operating a white Toyota Camry bearing Massachusetts livery plates.
At 11:24 a.m., just 20 minutes after receiving the alert, Milford Police Detectives spotted the suspect vehicle traveling inbound on East Main Street. Officers initiated a motor vehicle stop near the intersection of East Main and Cedar Street.
“I’d like to commend the Medway Police Department for their outstanding communication. Inter-agency coordination is one of our greatest strengths,” said Milford Chief of Police Robert Tusino. “The fact that our Detective Bureau located the vehicle within 20 minutes of receiving this information speaks volumes about the dedication and responsiveness of the men and women of the Milford Police Department.”
At 11:27AM, Giovanni Cardona was placed under arrest on the following charges:

The Milford Police Department has observed an increase in the use E-Bikes and electric off-road “dirt bikes” throughout the community. What is especially concerning is that that many of these riders are particularly young, not wearing helmets and not obeying traffic rules. This can be extremely dangerous and pose significant safety risks to both riders and the public. The primary goal of the Milford Police Department is to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and welcoming environment for all members of the community.
Under Massachusetts Law, E-bikes and traditional bicycles are subject to traffic laws and must obey the same laws as any motorist.
This means bicyclists must:
Stop a red lights and stop signs
Yield to pedestrians
Staying on the right side of the road
Observed lane markings.
Not operate in a way that endangers the public
Identify themselves if stopped by the police
Additionally, riders under the age of 17 MUST wear a helmet. If the child is not wearing a helmet, the parents will be called to come pick up the bicycle at the police department. Milford Town Bylaws also restrict any bicycles on public sidewalks. Lastly, any unsafe operation of a bicycle may result in the impoundment of the bicycle for up to 15 days and money fines.
Explanation of E-bikes and Electric Dirtbikes
Under the law, an electric bicycle or E-bike is defined in law as a bicycle or tricycle with fully operable pedals and an electronic motor of 750 watts or less. There are two classes of E-bike:
Class 1: an electric bicycle or tricycle equipped with a motor that provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling and that ceases to provide assistance when the bicycle reaches the speed of 20 miles per hour.
Class 2: an electric bicycle or tricycle equipped with a motor that may be used exclusively to propel the bicycle and that is not capable of providing assistance when the bicycle reaches the speed of 20 miles per hour.
If an E-bike does not conform with these definitions, then it will be considered an electric dirt bike which, under the law, is classified as a “lightweight motorcycle,” and therefore is a motor vehicle subject to all traffic laws and laws related to Off-Highway (recreational) vehicles.
Remember, electric dirt bikes are not E-Bikes and electric dirt bikes are NOT permitted on public or private roadways.
Anyone found operating an electric or gas-powered dirt bike on public or private roads that does not meet the legal definition of an electric bicycle, or any other legally defined vehicles may be subject to the following charges:
• Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle
• Operating an unregistered motor vehicle
• Operating an uninsured motor vehicle
They may also be subject to fines and restrictions in accordance with Off Highway Vehicle (recreational vehicle) laws. Underage violators can be referred to court and criminal charges and money fines can also apply to the parents of riders as well. The vehicle is also subject to be towed just like any motor vehicle.

MILFORD – On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at approximately 3:35 PM, the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 call from a woman residing on Sidney Road reporting she was unable to locate her 1-year-old son. Communications personnel promptly dispatched resources while attempting to obtain additional information from the distraught caller.
Officers from the Milford Police Patrol Division arrived on scene within minutes, at 3:38 PM, but were unable to locate the missing boy in the apartment or surrounding area.
Within minutes of the initial officers’ arrival, 14 members of the Milford Police Department—including personnel from the Patrol Division, Detective Bureau, K-9 Unit, and drone operators responded to assist in the search.
At 3:58 PM, the missing child was safely located within the 304-unit apartment complex.
“Our officers train regularly for incidents like this where every second counts.” Commented Milford Chief of Police Robert Tusino. “Time and resources are priceless when it comes to the preservation of a child’s life. I am thankful for the quick actions of our communications staff and the coordinated response of our patrol, detectives, and specialized units; because of this we were able to see a safe conclusion to a potentially disastrous situation.“

MILFORD- On Monday, June 30, 2025, at approximately 2:03AM the Milford Police Department Patrol Division responded to 14 Prospect St., Milford Hospital to investigate a report of a male with a large laceration to his hand.
In interviewing the victim, officers were able to ascertain that he was attacked at an East Main St. residence by a male known to him.
At 4:55AM, overnight patrol officers made their way to the residence in question where they observed a large amount of dry blood scattered around the apartment and a broken glass believed to be weapon that caused the laceration.
As a result of the investigation, officers arrested Claudnei Leonidio Batista, 39, of Milford and charged him with the following:

MILFORD- On Friday June 27, 2025, at approximately 10:17PM, the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a call from a Spanish speaking male reporting he had been stabbed in the head. On arrival at the Main St. residence officers discovered a 26-year-old male bleeding from the head. The victim reported he was stabbed in the head with what he believed was a fork. The suspect, later identified as Wilson Jhavier Guasco Morocho fled the scene on foot prior to the officer’s arrival.
While the responding officers tended to the victim, additional patrol units located a male party, matching the description given on Congress St. near the Milford Town Park. Following an on-scene investigation, the suspect was placed under arrest and charged with the following:

Due to a motor vehicle accident, outbound traffic from Target/250 Fortune Blvd to East Main St. will be closed.
MILFORD- On May 28th, 2025, residents of Temple St. reported multiple attempted B&Es from motor vehicles. Resident video of the area showed two male suspects wearing dark clothing, attempting to gain access into vehicles parked in neighborhood driveways.
On June 6, 2025, Milford Police Detectives became aware of a series of purchases being made with Mastercard stolen from a Temple St. resident’s vehicle. Using the log of the fraudulent transactions, detectives were able to obtain CCTV surveillance footage of the suspects making fraudulent purchases in Dartmouth and Fall River, MA.
On June 11, 2025, Using Flock Safety technology, Milford Police Detectives were able to track the vehicle of a third involved male on the day of the purchases. The vehicle in question was in the area at the time of the fraudulent Fall River transactions.

MILFORD- On June 2, 2025, The Milford Police Department were dispatched to Benjamin Moore Manufacturing, located at 49 Sumner St. for multiple larcenies from a motor vehicle. On arrival, officers were alerted by employees that three separate vehicles had been entered and had items stolen. A video review of the parking lot depicted a slender individual with a black jacket on a bicycle.
On June 3, 2025, the Milford Police Detective Bureau began an investigation into the incident and were alerted to use of credit cards stolen from the vehicles.
Thursday, June 19, 2025, an electronic search warrant was issued that lead to the identification of a 17-year-old male from Milford as the suspect in the larcenies. Using this information, Milford Police Detectives were able to obtain and execute a search warrant for the suspect’s residence on Friday June 20, 2025. During the execution of the warrant, Detectives were able to locate evidence that led to the suspect being charged with the following:
