MILFORD — On Friday, August 8, 2025, members of the Milford Police Detective Bureau, along with the Milford Police K-9 and Special Operations Units, executed a search warrant at 90.5 Spruce Street in Milford as part of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of cocaine.
At approximately 2:04 p.m., Milford Police units approached the residence and announced the execution of the warrant. Upon entering, officers located the target of the investigation, Luiz Bossanelli, 23, of Milford, on the second floor of the residence.
A search of the premises resulted in the seizure of cocaine, blue M30 pills, digital drug scales, and assorted sandwich bags.
Milford Chief of Police Robert Tusino commended the efforts of the officers, stating:
“The continued efforts by our investigators and specialty units to take drugs off the streets of our community are to be commended.“
As a result of the investigation, Luiz Bossanelli has been charged with:
• Drug Possession with Intent to Distribute (Class B)
• Drug Possession (Class B)
• Drug Possession (Class A)
• Drug Violation Near a School/Park

JOINT OPERATION LEADS TO CHILD RAPE AND PORNOGRAPHY ARREST OF EL SALVADORIAN NATIONAL
MILFORD — On Friday, August 1, 2025, at approximately 4:10 a.m., the Milford Police Detective Bureau, in coordination with the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS) and the United States Marshals Service, initiated an operation in the area of 16 Court Square to apprehend Manuel Umana Solorzano, 29, of Milford, MA. Umana Solorzano was wanted on multiple charges, including rape of a child with force and possession of child pornography.
At approximately 5:41 a.m., while conducting surveillance, detectives and marshals observed Umana Solorzano exit his residence and approach a waiting Ford Transit van. As personnel from the multi-agency task force moved in, Umana Solorzano fled on foot toward North Bow Street. Milford Police Detectives pursued the suspect and closed the distance as he entered the backyard of a residence on North Bow Street.
At approximately 5:43 a.m., the pursuit ended when Umana Solorzano turned toward a detective, assumed a fighting stance, and reached for his waistband. After ignoring repeated commands to stop, he was tased and taken into custody without further incident.
Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino stated:
“Someone who is suspected of taking advantage of children will find no quarter in Milford. There will be no shelter, no safe haven, no sanctuary for people who are suspected of such crimes against children. My sincerest thanks to the Massachusetts State Police and the US Marshals for coordinating with our detectives in apprehending this suspected child predator.
Manuel Umana Solorzano was booked at the Milford Police Department at 5:49AM and will be arraigned at Milford District Court later today on the following charges:

Photograph Sexual or Intimate Parts of Child
Statutory Rape of Child, Five Year Age Difference
Rape of Child With Force

MILFORD MAN CHARGED AFTER LEWD CONDUCT REPORTED AT IHOP
MILFORD — On Monday, July 21, 2025, at approximately 5:07 p.m., the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 call from IHOP, located at 17 Medway Road. The caller reported that a male was seated in a booth, openly watching pornography on his phone and engaging in lewd behavior.
Upon arrival, responding officers observed a male matching the description provided walking through the restaurant’s parking lot. The individual, later identified as Robert Morrison, 46, of Milford, was detained while officers interviewed witnesses.
According to a witness, the volume of the pornographic video could be heard within the restaurant. When the witness approached Morrison to ask him to lower the volume, she observed explicit content playing on his phone and noted that his hand was beneath a napkin placed over his genital area.
“This type of depravity has no place in our community,” said Chief of Police Robert Tusino. “Family establishments should be safe, welcoming environments, and we will not tolerate this kind of lascivious behavior.”

MAN CHARGED AFTER SECRETLY RECORDING LOWE’S EMPLOYEES USING RESTROOM

MILFORD — On Friday, June 27, 2025, at approximately 10:23 a.m., the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a call from Lowe’s Home Improvement, located at 40 Fortune Boulevard, reporting that an unknown male had been filming staff members in the restroom.
Responding officers spoke with two employees who stated that, at separate times, they used the restroom and observed a man—wearing grey sweatpants and black sneakers—enter the adjacent stall. Each reported seeing a cell phone placed on the ground, propped against the suspect’s sweatpants with the camera positioned to record under the stall divider.
Both employees later identified the suspect through store surveillance footage. Additional video showed the man leaving the store as a passenger in a newer-model black Toyota Camry.
On July 2, 2025, Milford Police Detectives obtained a search warrant for Uber records associated with the identified vehicle. The warrant led officers to identify John Kelley, 18, of Wrentham, MA, as the passenger in the Camry at the time of the incident.
Detectives spoke with Kelley on July 15, 2025. During the conversation, Kelley admitted to recording the store employees without their knowledge.
As a result of the investigation, John Kelley has been charged with:

TWO CHARGED FOLLOWING ALTERCATION AT MILFORD LEGION BASEBALL GAME
MILFORD — On Monday, July 21, 2025, at approximately 9:05 PM, the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a physical altercation during the Milford Legion Baseball game against East Springfield at Fino Field.
Upon arrival, officers from the Milford Police Department found that the fight had been quickly broken up, though a verbal disturbance was still ongoing on the field. At approximately 9:25 PM, officials made the decision to suspend the game, which would be continued at a later date.
Over the following 48 hours, officers conducted an investigation, including a review of game footage and videos submitted by fans, in an effort to identify those involved in inciting violence.
As a result of the investigation, Eliezer Rosario Lebron, 19, of Holyoke, MA, has been charged with assault and battery. Additionally, a 17-year-old male from Milford has been charged with assault, disturbing the peace, and affray.

911 CALLER CLAIMS HARASSMENT, ENDS UP CHARGED WITH DRUG TRAFFICKING
MILFORD —At approximately 2:15 AM on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 call from a male later identified as Jonathan Cabral, who reported someone pointing blue lasers into his vehicle parked behind 29 Congress Street.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the caller, who stated he was “not crazy” and claimed he was being harassed. While retrieving his identification from a blue Volkswagen, officers observed a plastic bag containing a tan-colored powder inside the vehicle.
As a result of the on-scene investigation, Jonathan Cabral, 30, of Milford, MA, was placed under arrest and charged with the following offenses:

MEDWAY MAN ARRESTED AFTER RACIAL THREATS AND LEWD MESSAGES TARGETING MILFORD OFFICERS
MILFORD — On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at approximately 9:33 PM, the Milford Police Department began receiving multiple phone calls from a "ghost" phone number. The unidentified male caller made racially charged statements directed at minority residents of Milford, as well as comments targeting the ethnicity of Milford Police Department officers.
At 9:47 PM the same evening, the department’s official Instagram account received a series of direct messages from an account indicating they had called the department and made additional threats toward minority groups and sexually aggressive comments toward two female officers.
On Thursday, July 17, 2025, the Milford Police Detective Bureau launched an investigation into the incident. With the assistance of the Medway Police Department Detective Unit, investigators identified Lawrence Trust, 46, of Medway, MA, as the individual responsible for the Instagram messages.
On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at approximately 10:30 AM, members of the Milford Police Detective Bureau and Special Operations Unit, with assistance from Medway Police, arrested Trust at his Medway residence on a warrant for threats to commit a crime.
Regarding the arrest, Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino stated:
“This kind of lewd and bigoted behavior will not be tolerated toward the citizens and officers I serve. There is zero tolerance in Milford for threats against a person based on their race, ethnicity, creed, or sex.”
Trust was transported to the Milford Police Department for booking and subsequently arraigned in Milford District Court on the following charges:

IPHONE CRASH ALERT LEADS TO OUI ARREST ON PURCHASE STREET

MILFORD — On Sunday, July 20, 2025, at approximately 2:43 a.m., the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received an automated crash detection alert from an iPhone, reporting a collision near 34 Purchase Street. Dispatchers immediately deployed emergency personnel to the location and attempted to contact the phone number associated with the alert. Multiple calls were met with no verbal response, only background noise.
Officers arrived on scene at 2:44 a.m. and observed a large group gathered around a white Ford van that had collided with a utility pole. A male on scene, later identified as Luis Orlando Pillacela Morocho, admitted to being the driver and stated he had crashed into the pole.
After conducting a series of field sobriety tests, officers placed Pillacela Morocho under arrest on suspicion of operating under the influence of alcohol. A breath test administered during booking confirmed his blood alcohol concentration was above the Massachusetts legal limit of 0.08%.
