MILFORD — From November 6, 2025, through December 8, 2025, the Milford Police Department Detective Bureau investigated a series of swatting incidents reported to the Milford Public Safety Communications Center. Each call falsely reported violent crimes in progress, including the December 8 incident involving a reported firearm at Milford High School.
On Thursday, November 6, 2025, at approximately 8:30 a.m., the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a call from Pizza Palace, located at 8 Beach Street in Milford, regarding an online order that contained notes claiming the resident at the delivery address was being held hostage by two individuals. Responding officers from the Milford Police Patrol Division determined the report to be unfounded and confirmed all residents were safe.
On Sunday, December 7, 2025, at approximately 10:21 p.m., the Communications Center received a call on its business line from a male identifying himself as “Kevin.” The caller claimed he had placed 23 pipe bombs at the same residence involved in the previous swatting call. Once again, responding officers determined the report to be unfounded and confirmed the safety of all residents.
On Monday, December 8, 2025, at approximately 9:58 a.m., the Communications Center received another business line call from a male identifying himself as “Kevin.” The caller reported he was hiding in a bathroom near the cafeteria of Milford High School, located at 31 West Fountain Street, and claimed a male was walking through the hallways with a firearm.
Responders from the Milford Police Department, Milford Fire Department, Coastal EMS, Massachusetts State Police, Massachusetts Environmental Police, Bellingham Police Department, and Hopedale Police Department arrived on scene. The school was placed into lockdown, and multiple team-based sweeps of the building were conducted before the incident was ultimately determined to be a hoax.
Throughout the investigation, the Milford Police Detective Bureau worked in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Massachusetts State Police Fusion Center, and the Montgomery County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office. As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old male from Woodlawn, TN was identified and charged with the following offenses:
• False Report to Public Safety Dispatch (2 counts)
• Bomb/Hijack Threat with Serious Public Alarm
• Bomb/Hijack Threat

MILFORD — On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, members of the Milford Police Department Detective Bureau, in coordination with the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS), conducted an operation to apprehend Bernaddy Mondesir, 27, of Brockton, MA. Mondesir was wanted on seven active warrants, including charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery on a police officer, multiple drug offenses, fraud, and several other crimes.
At approximately 8:13 a.m., members of the Milford Police Department and VFAS arrived at 160 Highland St. to execute the warrants. Upon making contact with law enforcement, Mondesir attempted to evade officers but was ultimately apprehended without incident and transported to the Milford Police Department for booking.
“I’d like to thank Massachusetts State Police VFAS for their assistance in removing a wanted felon from our community.” said Chief of Police Robert Tusino.
Following booking, Bernaddy Mondesir was transported to Milford District Court for arraignment.

In light of recent acts of mass violence reported both domestically and abroad, the Milford Police Department would like to make our community aware of an increased police presence at all Milford schools.
In addition to our School Resource Officers and Special Operations Unit, the Milford Police Department will be deploying plainclothes detectives and additional patrol units to schools and other areas of public gathering.

MILFORD — On Monday, December 8, 2025, at 9:58 AM, the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a call from a male reporting that a student in a nearby hallway at Milford High School, located at 31 West Fountain Street, was in possession of a handgun.
At 10:01 AM, Milford School Resource Officers placed the facility on lockdown while members of the Milford Police Department Command Staff, Detective Bureau, Special Operations Unit and Patrol Division initiated team-based sweeps of the building.
As Milford Police personnel worked to account for all faculty and students, additional assistance was provided by the Milford Fire Department, Coastal EMS, Massachusetts State Police, Massachusetts Environmental Police, Bellingham Police Department and the Hopedale Police Department.
At 10:45 AM, multiple searches of the building were completed, and the call was determined to be a swatting hoax. The lockdown was subsequently lifted.
“I want our students, faculty and community to know that we keep you safe by treating every incident like a genuine threat.” Said Milford Chief of Police Robert Tusino “Because of the required vigilance, swatting incidents create unnecessary panic and place an enormous strain on resources. The suspect of this call will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
At the time of this release, the Milford Police Detective Bureau is actively investigating the source of the swatting incident and have identified a 16-year-old male as the suspect in this incident and others.

Dear Families,
This morning, the high school entered a shelter-in-place at the request of the Police Department after a report was made to law enforcement claiming that a student had a gun in a school bathroom. The report was unverified, but out of an abundance of caution, police asked that the school secure the hallways so officers could respond and check the building.
The Police Department conducted a thorough search of the school, including the area connected to the report, and spoke with students and staff. Their review found no threat and no weapon.
The individual suspected to be responsible for this report has been detained in Tennessee and is in custody. The Milford Police Department is working with partners at the FBI and in Tennessee on the case.
The school remained safe throughout the police response, and the school returned to normal operations once police cleared the building.
We understand that situations like this can cause stress for students and families. We have support staff available for any student who needs to speak with an adult today.
We appreciate the partnership of our local police and thank our students and staff for following directions quickly and calmly.

A winter parking ban will take effect beginning at 5PM December 2, 2025. The on-street parking ban will remain in effect until an end ban announcement is made. All vehicles parked on-street during this time will be subject to ticketing and towing.

MILFORD — On Sunday, November 30, 2025, at approximately 7:22PM, the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a 911 call from an employee at Riverside Gas, located at 146 South Main Street in Milford, reporting that a white male wearing a black mask and grey shirt had stolen several packs of cigarettes after unsuccessfully attempting to take money from the cash register.
Upon arrival, patrol officers determined the incident was an armed robbery involving a firearm. At 7:43PM, members of the Milford Police Detective Bureau, Milford Police K-9 Unit, Milford Special Operations Team, and the Massachusetts State Police K-9 Unit responded to assist in searching for the suspect and the weapon.
At approximately 8:10PM, officers located a male matching the description provided by the victim walking on Green Street. Following an on-scene investigation, Adam Busuito, 34, of Milford, was placed under arrest.
“I’m grateful for the outstanding work by the men and women of the Milford Police Department to bring this violent crime to such a quick resolution,” said Chief of Police Robert Tusino. “Violent criminals who put the members of our community in danger will be tracked down and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
During an area search, a black Walther P22 6MM BB gun was located behind Honey Dew Donuts at 140 South Main Street. Additionally, a discarded black “Ghostface” mask and clothing consistent with those worn by the suspect were found by K-9 Titan in a nearby parking lot.
In addition to the charges from this incident, Busuito also had an outstanding warrant for armed robbery out of Boston District Court.
Adam Busuito was held without bail and will be transported for arraignment at Milford District Court this morning on the following charges:
