THREE JUVENILES CHARGED WITH B&E AND VANDALISM OF STACY AND MEMORIAL SCHOOL

MILFORD – On Monday June 29, 2026, at approximately 9:19AM, The Milford Police Detective Bureau received information of a series of B&E and vandalism incidents that occurred at Stacy Middle School and Memorial Elementary School.

In investigating the schools, Detectives observed several acts of vandalism and destruction of school property, including a racial slur graffitied across signage. Through reviewing CCTV of the interior and exteriors of the schools and Milford Public Library, Detectives were able to identify that the crimes took place over two separate days, June 26th and June 27th. With assistance from School Resource Officers, Detectives were able to identify three juveniles as the suspects in the crimes.

"The complete lack of respect required to break into and vandalize any property is troubling, but to target places dedicated to educating and developing our children is especially disturbing," said Milford Chief of Police Robert Tusino. "I hope this serves as a turning point for these juveniles and that they recognize the seriousness of their actions before making decisions that could have lasting consequences."

As a result of the investigation, the three youths were each charged with following crimes:

ECHO LAKE ADVISORY

The Milford Police Department would like to take a moment to bring attention to a series of issues that have taken place at Echo Lake. Recently we have discovered a serious outbreak in littering, illegal fires, public drinking, among other crimes.

Echo Lake is a vital drinking water source for the Town of Milford and a protected environmental resource. To help preserve the area and ensure the safety of our community, we remind everyone that the following activities are prohibited:

🚫 Swimming

🚫 Camping

🚫 Fires

🚫 Littering

These restrictions are in place to protect our public water supply, preserve the natural environment, and maintain the safety of everyone in the area.

The Milford Police Department will continue to conduct patrols of Echo Lake and surrounding property. Individuals found violating these regulations may be subject to enforcement action, including fines or criminal charges where applicable.

We appreciate the public's cooperation in helping protect one of Milford's most valuable natural resources.

PURCHASE STREET CLOSED WEDNESDAY JULY 1

wednesday July 1st, 5:30AM until 6:00PM

Due to road paving, Purchase Street will be limited to one-way traffic heading out of town only. There will be no inbound traffic from Purchase Street at Tyler Street to Purchase St. at Dilla Street.

All traffic entering Milford on Purchase Street will be detoured Tyler Street to Silver Hill Road to Congress Street.

B&E SUSPECT IDENTIFIED AND ARRESTED FROM PREVIOUS ARREST RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FRIDAY JUNE 26TH 2026

MILFORD – On Friday June 26, 2026, at approximately 6:32AM, the Milford Public Safety Communications Center received a call from a resident of West Walnut Street area, reporting she witnessed a Hispanic male on her CCTV system entering her home.

Milford Police Detectives were able to quickly identify Cristian Romero, 24, of Milford as the suspect when the CCTV footage matched an April 27 Milford Police Department press release for a B&E arrest.

At 10:20AM members of the Milford Police Patrol Division and Detective Bureau located Romero walking on Main Street wearing the same clothes as the suspect was wearing on the CCTV footage. As a result of the investigation, Romero was placed under arrest and brought to the Milford Police Department for booking.

“The illegal entry of homes and vehicles is one of the most invasive crimes committed. Anyone who threatens the sanctity of our resident’s dwellings will be found and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.” Said Milford Chief of Police Robert Tusino.

CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS MOSQUITO PROJECT SPRAYING IN MILFORD

Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project personnel will be in your community to respond to residents' concerns about mosquitoes in their area on the following dates in July:

July 6, 13, 20, 27

Any of the above dates are tentative, and all dates are subject to change due to weather conditions, mosquito populations, mosquito virus activity and/or special event spraying. This program will shut down when cool night time temperatures become predominant in the area. A detailed notice about our spray schedule is posted on the CMMCP phone system after 3:30 p.m. each day, and it is also listed on our website at http://www.cmmcp.org, click the "2026 Spray Schedule" button on the right.

Requests for service may be recorded by calling the CMMCP office at (508) 393-3055 between 7:00 AM - 3:30PM, Monday through Friday, or logging on to http://www.cmmcp.org. Results of these requests may initiate an application of mosquito insecticides to defined, site-specific areas of town. Such an application may be accomplished by using truck mounted equipment depending on the extent of the application.

OUI ARREST RESULTS IN A&B ON POLICE AND AMBULANCE PERSONNEL

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE THURSDAY JUNE 18TH 2026

MILFORD – On Thursday June 18, 2026, at approximately 12:09AM, a member of the Milford Police Department Patrol division observed a white Dodge Journey traveling at erratically at a high rate of speed on Main Street.

After witnessing the white SUV crossing double-yellow centerlines multiple times, the vehicle was stopped near the Hopedale-Milford town line. When the vehicle was approached by the officer, the operator, Tamra Davis, 35 of Uxbridge began to be argumentative and aggressive when prompted for her license and registration. During the interaction, the officer detected a strong odor of alcohol. At approximately 12:19AM, Davis was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. During the arrest and booking process, Davis yelled threats and homophobic insults at the officers on scene.

At approximately 12:40AM, while receiving requested medical care, Davis attempted to bite a Coastal Ambulance EMT and later kicked another Coastal Ambulance Paramedic while in their ambulance. While under arrest and awaiting care in the emergency room of UMASS Milford Regional Hospital, Davis continued to be assaultive yelling racial slurs at a hospital staff member.

As a result of the incident, Davis was held on $1500 bail and taken to Milford District Court for arraignment this morning on the following charges:

OFFICERS ON ROAD DETAIL APPREHEND B&E SUSPECT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FRIDAY JUNE 12TH 2026

MILFORD – On Friday June 12, 2026, at approximately 12:40AM, two members of the Milford Police Department Patrol Division, assigned to an overnight road detail, apprehended a male in the act of breaking and entering a construction vehicle.

While detaining the suspect, 31-year-old, Colin Gideon-Murphy, of Framingham, MA., officers discovered a tubular glass crack pipe in his possession.

As the investigation continued on-scene, officers were approached by two nearby residents who reported that Gideon-Murphy had just broken into their home and asked for crack cocaine.

Gideon-Murphy was arrested and held on $2000.00 bail for the following charges:

MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING KNIFE ATTACK

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE THURSDAY JUNE 11TH 2026 MILFORD — On Monday June 8, 2026, at approximately 12:46PM the Milford Public Safety Communications received a 911 call from South Central section of Milford. reporting a victim with lacerations to the neck and shoulder area.

Arriving on scene at 12:50PM, officers located the victim with visible knife wounds to their hands, neck and face. Speaking to the 911 caller at the scene, officers were directed to a nearby residence where it was believed the incident took place. Inside the residence officers observed a large amount of blood in different areas of the home.

"This incident represents a deeply disturbing act of violence that resulted in serious physical and emotional injuries to the victim," said Milford Chief of Police Robert Tusino. "We are fortunate that this incident did not result in a loss of life. I'd like to commend the outstanding response from our Patrol Division, Detective Bureau, and Family Services Unit for their swift actions and professionalism, which helped bring this case to a quick resolution."

As a result of the investigation, Raghavendar Juluru, 46, of Milford, was arrested and held on $50,000 bail.
